McDonalds advert: Estate

In the first shot of the advert the technique used to show the location and setting was an extreme long shot, as you see the estate block and the entire background which shows that the location is a city due too all the large buildings.

The second shot which is a long shot of a group of youths. You can see it is a long shot as you can see what attire they are wearing and that is connected to the younger generation. Then there is a middle shot of a elderly man in the same location of the youths. His expressions are seen to be him showing interest in the youths way of listening too music.  There is an extreme close up of the cellular devices in which music is playing off. The extreme close up is indicating to the audience that it shows importance and is relevant to the story line.

There is a shot of a vinyl player which is an extreme close up , this shows that its retro and that the two characters are from two different generations. We as an audience see an old generation and younger one, they still has something in common which is that they find McDonald's a favourable place to eat. This is shown when both characters eat McDonald's fries in the same manner and this is shown in a close up shot. With these media techniques used in the advert it conveys that McDonald's has always been popular with all generations and will remain like that.

The corporate balance sheet of Adidas would doubtless be a lot poorer without the patronage of rappers Run-DMC, or reggae star Bob Marley. Hip-hop later turned to gang culture for its stylistic cues, and it is probably impossible to say whether gangsters modelled themselves on hip...
