McDonald's Commercial

In this advert it starts off with a birds eye view shot of a family in a car. This is connected to the atmosphere of McDonald's as it is a family friendly fast food restaurant and appeals too most families that want a fast meal. All ages are welcomed including young children. There are close up shots that show the facial expressions of the children and adults present in the ad.

Their facial expressions are happy and excited. This shows the audience that people enjoy McDonald's especially children. The close up shot of the employee at McDonald's shows that he is happy, this may link to the friendly environment at McDonald's and that he enjoys his job there.

The song that plays throughout the advert is sung by children and they repeat the words 'such a happy place' which indicates too the audience that they feel happy when they are at McDonalds. This media technique was used to draw more customers with children and this led McDonald's to be one of the largest fast food restaurant's. Another quote from the song is 'this is our happy place' this makes the audience feel like  everyone is welcomed at McDonald's and that they enjoy themselves there.

There are close up shots of the food that McDonald's produces, this shows importance as it is showing customers the quality of the food and that it is fast to order. That means the children will be happy and enjoy their meal.

As for the hoodie, its mass adoption as an everyday item began with the parallel popularity of hip-hop imported from the US in the 1980s, where rappers modelled themselves as athletes in a bid to emulate the power and success of world-beating sports stars. The corporate balance sheet of Adidas would doubtless be a lot poorer without the patronage of rappers Run-DMC, or reggae star Bob Marley. Hip-hop later turned to gang culture for its stylistic cues, and it is probably impossible to say whether gangsters modelled themselves on hip...
